My Story
Chapter I: Childhood
I’ve been a reader all my life. I remember checking out books from the library almost every day of elementary school, and by the age of 10, I was proudly reading at a 12th-grade level. My love for reading only intensified in middle school when I received a box set of The Hunger Games for Christmas and devoured the series before the end of winter break. High school saw my passion for literature grow even further, leading me to pursue a degree in literature with the dream of becoming an English teacher.

Unfortunately, that’s where my reading journey hit a bump.
When I started university as an English major, I soon realized that reading for academic purposes was not what I had imagined. The books became assignments, chores even, and I struggled to connect with the material. This disconnection caused me to lose my enthusiasm for reading, and eventually, I decided to withdraw from college*.
Chapter III: Adulthood
It took me five years to rekindle my love for reading. In 2022, I picked up Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan, captivated by its beautiful cover and enchanting mythology. This book reignited my passion, and I quickly devoured the sequel and many other fantasy novels. My love for reading was back, stronger than ever! In 2023, I launched this blog and my bookstagram, making reading an integral part of my daily life once again.

*Fun fact: I later returned to school and earned a degree in Education, so my dream of becoming a teacher wasn’t entirely off track!
